Third Person:

Charlie stood eyes fixed on a spot in front of her as Grumm spoke, they were gonna send them back, gonna let the B Squad find them and they were to get Cruger. Take him back as Prisoner. It made sense, it was a good plan even, but if she did that, if she actually led her team back to commit treason there was no coming back for them.

They'd follow her, thats what A Squad was. A team. A team born of hard work and dedication, a team that were the best of the best without any genetic freak powers. The Troobians were offering them aa chance to be something, a chance to lead, a chance for power, because they would win. Because who was going to stop them. B Squad. Cruger, that infuriating know it all Kat. No. It was over for Earth, and Charlie had seen what the Troobians did to their enemies. So she had made the choice and her team after some worry would follow her. There was no question of that

"We'll get back. The B Squad are trusting fools and Crugers the worst of them all. He'll never see it coming. You have my loyalty and that of my squad. I guarentee success, Emperor."

Personal Journal.

People always ask why. Why did I do it, Or better yet 'How could you?' I love that one, how could you? How could I NOT. Things were desperate. The Troobians would have killed us and I was taught never to abandon my team. And I wasn't getting my due, none of us were. None of us treated like we should have been by Cruger, so obsessed with his freak kids. Letting Landors and the girl into B Squad right away? Made me sick. Grumm offered power, respect like I never would have gotten.

So yeah thats the how and why of it.

Let them say what they want. I did what I had to do. And I'd do it again.

But while I'm here, for whatever reason I am here? I'll fight like a Ranger, cause confinment or not, they didn't take that away from me.

Character Information
name Charlene (Charlie) Haywood
abilities/skills No freak powers, Charlie has her abilities as a Ranger and nothing else. She doesn't need anything else. She's a skilled fighter and leader, the first female red ranger in history and proud of it.

personality

Charlie is tough because she has to be but tries as much as she can to show off her femininity, she is the first female red Ranger and as such tried to set an example for others to follow, or she would have if the B squad hadnt been created to her mind out of nothing. This made her bitter and her squad as most do, followed her lead. She is many times selfish and does not often consider the implications of her actions outside of her Ranger work, acting on instinct. Though she is prideful of what she has worked for and will not tolerate slights against her position or against her squad.She is a strong, dedicated, hard-working fighter. She is disciplined. She is not, however, loyal. If someone earns her loyalty and convinces her that she is respected, she will be loyal for as long as it serves her purpose, aka, until something better comes along. Charlie is arrogant, sneering yet generally pretty decent to people's faces, and at least seems like she could be honorable, but to those in the know its pretty obvious she will do what she has to to surrvive, whatever side look to be winning thats where she will be

past relationships (please describe what your character's past relationships have been like. were they successful? did they crash and burn?) Yeah, Charlie didn't have time, she's had encounters of course, one night stands, but as far as relationships go its never happened

History

Charlie who had had a more of less average childhood for the time attended the SPD acadamy once she came of age to do so, this was something she had always wanted to do and once there fought long and hard for the positon she feels she earned, She was given command of A squad known as the best of the best making her the first Female Red Ranger in History and was horrified when two relitive unknowns and whats more, criminals were made part of B Squad admittidly a lesser squad comprised of freaks in her opinion but still finding it insulting. Possibly more so. Her squad seemed to be admired by all of the Cadets under them, especially Sky Tate, who aspired to be the A-Squad Red Ranger. However, Bridge senses something wrong with them, saying that “something's off” about their auras. They were then sent on a mission to the Helix Nebula in Confronted, leaving B-Squad usually nothing more than back up in charge of protecting Earth. However, they mysteriously vanished soon after, the only sign of their fate being a garbled distress message. Commander Cruger feared that they had been killed, they were officially listed as Missing In Action, as an all-out search had failed to turn up any further sign of them.

Eventually B-Squad was sent to Gamma Orion to investigate a distress call and found, much to their shock, that A-Squad was in fact alive and that unbeknownst to any of them A Squad Red was a girl. They were brought back to Earth, where the angry and hurt B-Squad were dismissed from Delta Command so that A-Squad could be debriefed by Cruger. Bridge read their auras again, getting a bad feeling from them- and his feelings proved to have merit, as the A-Squad unexpectedly morphed and took Cruger hostage, bringing him to Gruumm. They had sold out for power and the promise of being able to rule Earth alongside Gruumm. They are sent to take down B-Squad and at first gain the upper hand, sneering that the Rangers were always second best, but were defeated by S.W.A.T. Mode. The A-Squad then attacked the Rangers in their own evil Megazord, destroying the Delta Squad Megazord but finally being taken down by the S.W.A.T. Megazord. A-Squad was confined for their crimes, and the rank was retired.
